Activity Groups offer adults a chance to have fun together.

The balance of mind, body, and spirit contribute to a full life, improved cognitive function, and have been shown to lower blood pressure, stress, anxiety, and depression. Activity Groups at Harvard Avenue seek to provide opportunities to achieve balance and connect with people who enjoy being active like you. Whether you’re crushing it on the Pickleball Court, planning your next move on the Mahjong board, or working on your child’s pose in yoga, finding time to care for your body, mind, and spirit is a wonderful way to honor part of God’s incredible creation: you.

Yoga

Tuesday & Thursday : Level 1 – 8:30am (Family Life Center) / Level 2 – 10:00am (Room 215)

Yoga is gentle exercise that builds balance, strength and flexibility as it creates symmetry in the body. It improves circulation and helps to lower blood pressure as well as increase mental stamina and ease tension. Taught by Harvard Avenue member Susan Hollingsworth, these basic yoga classes contain elements of both flow and therapeutic yoga. Classes always include instruction and options to accommodate the comfort, health, and needs of each student. The Level 2 (10:00am) class is structured for active adults (18-65), ready for slightly more advanced instruction, and without use of props. Bring your mat and join our next class!
